Imagine if you will a world where shit got real a long time ago, and life turned down the toilet quickly from that point on. You see, Clarice Ferguson was born in a world ruled by Apocalypse, an immortal megalomaniac who'd come back every couple hundred years. She was still a kid when Apocalypse took over America and she was found by one of his four horsemen, Mister Sinister. Her parents had moved her to Florida when she was four. Being born in the Bahamas as a mutant they figured she was not safe, that she'd be safer in America where there were more mutants. They were wrong. Clarice spent most of her life being experimented on by Dark Beast, Mister Sinister's right-hand man and abused by her jailor the Sugarman.|This timeline, this reality set apart, had come into existence after Legion, the son of Xavier, went back in time to kill Magneto and inadvertently killed his father. With help from a band of freedom fighters who had freed Clarice and had treated her like family, Bishop went back in time and stopped Legion from killing his father, putting everything back into balance.
All was resolved… except… it wasn't at least not for Clarice everything she ever knew, the freedom fighters who saved her, the mutant she looked up to as a father, were all gone they simply didn't exist any longer. She on the other hand, a being called the Timebroker, had spared from death. He asked of Clarice one thing, that she help stop other worlds from collapsing in on themselves to save others from what she was going through. So she banded together with other people displaced from time in order to fix countless broken realities and for some in the hopes that one day they would get to return to their world. Clarice on the other hand knew she was one who could never return to where she came from.
As the Timebroker had explained it to all of them he was nothing more than a figment of their collective unconscious however that was not all true. Blink was given the Tallus by the Timebroker a device that explains what they need to do to save a reality. The Exiles had saved many worlds in their time jumping from place to place. In one such world they met Weapon X a team who also travelled from world to world fixing realities and a dangerous man named Hyperion a madman who decided instead of trying to fix the world he would become its ruler. the Exiles were to kill 7 people. In the end Blink along with Gambit, the leader of Weapon X, they were able to kill Hyperion.|After a while the Timebroker started acting a bit different. He had brought Sabertooth a man Blink looked up to as a father on her world to their team and later a man named Holocaust from Blink's world and even sent them back to AOA a world Blink believed to have still been erased. Holocaust had discovered that the Timebroker was a projection and traced it back after experimenting with a M'Kraan crystal to the Panoptichron the Timebroker's base. There they found that Hyperion had been manipulating events for a while blink eventually defeated Hyperion again after teleporting a whole bunch of sand into him.
Proteus a reality warping mutant had found out about other realities from the Tallus and after he fled from 616 the Exiles followed him. Proteus withered mimic into a lifeless husk and Blink couldn't save him. They followed proteus into a future imperfect reality where proteus had captured former members of the Exiles and members of Weapon X where proteus got stuck in Morph's body. Blink managed to save Morph by teleporting a behavior modifying crown on Morph's head making Proteus think he was Morph then Blink sent all the people captured in the Stasis Gallery back to their worlds dead or alive|Quite a time passed and as the secret wars started and unfolded realities became twisted. Clarice had joined a new Exiles and had worked to fix realities in chaos for a while unseen by most but integral to the upkeep of the multiverse. As realities became intertwined in Battleworld the Exiles separated themselves spread themselves thin trying to keep realities from collapsing in on themselves. when Reed Richards recreated it all Clarice Ferguson AKA Blink had found herself in 616 a universe. She well-recognized it by now. Her first instinct was to try to find the rest of the Exiles but she knew a broken world when she saw one. This world needed her help and besides she needed a bit of a break; after all not all worlds you can fix in a day.
To a cause that Blink holds dear, she will fight to her dying breath. For a friend she loves, she will cross stars and universes to defend, save, or just be there for. Clarice is a very loyal person, it does take a bit for her to give that loyalty, but once it is achieved, there is nothing that Clarice won't do for the cause she is loyal to, or the friendships she holds dear.
A hint of sarcasm mixed together with a love of laughter, and you have Clarice's sense of humor. Through all of the bad, there were moments of good, and in those moments Clarice never lost the love of laughter and the hope for a better tomorrow. She isn't one to spout a joke off, but it isn't all seriousness and work.
Blink's only real goals are to figure out what she wants where she wants to go and to save others from ending up in the type of pain she's been through. In a sense she's the true hero archetype she spands so much time trying to save other people that she barely even knows what she wants.
Blink can teleport incredible large volumes of any material the only limit to how much she can teleport is her energy as teleportation takes a lot out of her she can teleport through any object and as far as the moon her portals tend to last for as long as she wants.
Clarice is able to create spatially charged, crystalline javelins that, upon contact, are able to either directly teleport an organic or non-organic item to a predetermined place of Clarice's choosing - or - temporarily displace the individual out of sync.|Upon contact with the spatially charged item, the person, or object, may be spatially displaced out of sync with reality, it would be like taking a puzzle, tearing it into tiny pieces, and then putting the pieces (temporarily) together again all wrong. The effects on a normal, human being would be a disorientating, and often times painful experience, leading to unconsciousness afterwards.
If Blink ever needs serious help or the Exiles need help she is there for them because that is what she's grown accustomed to. the Exiles have become a home for her.
BLink has, through combat developed very fast reflexes to a point where she can redirect an attack as it comes at her.
During her time away from her home world, Clarice was placed into the position as co-leader, and sometimes even direct leader of a group of individuals. She learned a great deal about leadership, and occasionally her decisions benefited the team, and other times she failed. Yet, she continued to grow as a leader, and has become a competent and capable leader.
You learn to survive, or you die, this is the world that Clarice grew up in. You had your wits, you had your strength of will, and you had a desire to live. Clarice learned from the best on how to survive in nearly any environment, and in nearly any situation. When her world was lost, and she was sent bouncing from one strange earth to another, these survival skills came in handy time and again. As a result, Clarice is not only a survivor, but she knows how to endure.
Having been trained by some of the best fighters there were (on her earth), Clarice was taught to fight, whether it's a single, mono-eh-mono situation, or one where there are multiple combatants. She is highly skilled in fighting not only with her powers, but without. She knows how to read| enemies, how to block shots, and while she doesn't have any formal training in any one particular martial arts, she has picked up the fighting styles of the many different people that she's adventured with.|Clarice is, also, very accurate when it comes to throwing weapons, whether it is with her javelins, or with a rock, to even darts. She is very skilled and very precise with the use of throwing weapons.
Limber! It's good to be nimble and quick, and Clarice has learned through self taught means, how to tumble, roll with the punches, and of course, fall. She isn't going to be winning any Olympic medals any time soon, but she knows how to tumble, cartwheel, fall, twist and turn her way through a situation.
feels very strongly for most if not all of her teamates and sabertooth
comes from a messed up reality and has gone through some messed up stuff
Where do I go from here? Clarice has only known fighting, the will to survive, and constant motion. Whether it was in her 'own' world, to the different earth-hopping she did after her earth was destroyed. She isn't sure what to do with herself, at this point. Do you continue fighting the good fight? Or do you take a break from it all and relax, if so how do you even do that!? For Clarice, right now, she doesn't have a direction to go, and it's an odd situation to find herself in. Where do you go from here? Good question, no good answer.
All alone is Clarice, ever since she said 'good bye' (to all her friends from alternate worlds). She has no contacts, no resources, no one to call up and say 'hey lets go clubbing'. Nothing. She doesn't have a dime to her name, or anyone that even remotely knows her. In short, she's a stranger in a strange land.
Clarice is at the age where tablets, computers, and most everything technological should just fall at her feet with ease. The thing is? Her world didn't have those sorts of things, and while she knows the fundamentals of it - they don't come easily to her. She might have a difficult time figuring out how to swipe her finger across a phone, or how to open an application, or where to find it. In all, technology is still a strange thing to Clarice, and as a result she's a bit behind the times.
You can still hurt her physically she is not inpenetrable. Blink has weak fleshy bits :|
Blink had banded together with another team of Exiles, beings displaced from their realities, heroes and villains who could never go back. As the Secret wars had started and as they escalated many more people became displaced. realities were being changed and the new Exiles could not, though not for lack of trying, fix all these realities before things had become too much for them to fix. They had separated themselves and spread themselves thin in any effort to fix reality. After the multiverse fell and Reed Richards recreated it all Blink was found back in 616. Her first thought was to try and find the rest of the new Exiles to see if maybe they even still existed, but she recognized a broken Earth when she saw one ('I mean cap being hydra? come on') and she knew she couldn't bring herself to leave until she at least tried to set things right here; besides perhaps she needed a little break… after all not all worlds are fixed in a day. So here she was an elf all on her lonesome trying to fix a world of problems.
