-As Binary, Carol achieved a new, God-like level of powers, teaming up with the Starjammers. Eventually her cosmic powers were lost and she returned to Earth, her Marvel powers fully restored, and even enhanced.
-Codename is changed to Warbird, Carol rejoins the Avengers, until her expulsion for alcholism.

-Carol eventually loses her memories due to the manipulations of Yon-Rogg, joining up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for a time.
-After returning to help the Avengers and SHIELD, she is one of the few to escape the destruction of the Universal Incursion. Thus Captain Marvel is one of the few survivors of Battleworld who remembers the prior state of the universe.
Captain Marvel is a woman and proud of it, standing up for equal rights and encouraging all to be more than damsels in distress.
Carol doesn't like being told no, or that she can't do something. It only makes her want to do it that much more.
Carol Danvers is a soldier, former Air Force, and one of Earth's mightiest heroes. She is indomitable, headstrong, and doesn't give up easily.
She's turned to the bottle before when life's pressures became too much. And it's all too easy to backslide…
Captain Marvel has worked for, or with, the government for most of her life, and believes in central leadership over the people. She's unlikely to go against edicts that are not objectively unjust, even if they may seem callous or cruel from a certain light, and typically sides with The Man in conflicts of laws.
Carol is driven by both her heroism from her days of service in the Armed Forces and a strong desire to prove herself. With Great Power, yadda yadda. She's teamed up with Spider-Man enough to know the spiel.
Captain Marvel's primary goal is the safety of Earth and it's people. Whether that means stopping terrorism or world-ending threats, it doesn't matter. She doesn't typically deal with 'street' crime, there are plenty of other Heroes to take on those odd jobs.
Carol can lift around 75 tons, easily able to carry and hurl even the largest of land-based vehicles. She is capable of more if she absorbs a substantial amount of energy.
Captain Marvel can travel faster than the human eye can detect, achieving speeds of Mach-3. Even high is possible if she has stored sufficient energy.
Carol has inhuman reflexes and agility, able to act normally at superspeeds, dodge bullets, and turn on a dime at even superhuman speeds.
Carol is capable of operating at peak efficiency for up to 24 hours without rest.
Carol can fly at speeds of Mach-3 in Earth's atmosphere and has perfect and total control while doing so.
Captain Marvel can withstand attacks from military-grade small arms with ease, and even larger ordinance such as bombs and missiles if she absorbs their energy during the blast. Energy attacks are nullified by her ability to absorb them. She is even able to withstand such extreme environments as the cold vacuum of space. If she is damaged, she regenerates at an accelerated rate, healing from near death in a matter of hours.
Carol can absorb energy from a wide spectrum of sources. These can be used to enhance her physical powers, or to fire off energy blasts of her own. She has the ability to absorb up to a thermonuclear detonation, though much higher than that and she risks overloading her ability.
Carol is capable of firing off powerful photon blasts, the strength of which is determined by how much energy she has absorbed.
Captain Marvel's 'Seventh Sense' subconsciously warns her of impending danger before it happens, including such things as enemies in disguise and impending attacks.
Carol has the ability to shift her clothing into her costume and vice versa.
Carol is a long-time friend and member of various incarnations of the Avengers.
Captain Marvel has teamed up with and joined SHIELD on numerous assignments, earning her quite a bit of general goodwill with the organization.
Her fusion into a Human-Kree hybrid has given Carol knowledge of Kree technology, culture, and language.
Captain Marvel is a well-known and respected superhero with a distinguished career. Most people are willing to trust that she's there to help.
Carol is a superb fighter pilot, to such a degree she can even pilot most spacecraft, as well as use advanced maneuvers when flying under her own power to overcome foes.
Carol is an accomplished hand-to-hand fighter from her time in the military.
Carol has spent time as a magazine editor, and even a published Sci-Fi novelist.
Captain Marvel is a Human-Kree hybrid. Whether she likes it or not, this tends to pull her into a lot of Kree drama.
Carol has racked up quite a number of people with scores to settle. They tend to come after her in cruel and unorthodox ways when she least suspects it.
It's a disease that never quite goes away. All it takes is one bad day and a handy bottle to ruin years of sobriety.
Taking on too much energy into herself has caused her disaster in the past (like discorporating into disparate streams of energy). It's a bad idea to do so again.
Having her memories stolen by Rogue, and later returned by Xavier, has left Carol with an emotional disassociation with those memories. She no longer feels physical attachments to childhood friends and family members.
World-Wide known heroine and Avenger!
