Adrenalin junkie
Nocturne loves thrills. If they don't find her, she'll look for them. And enjoy them greatly. Quite the swashbuckler.
Born to be Alive
She has a positive outlook on life, and tries her best to enjoy it as much as she can.
Moral
Trained by her reality's version of Nightcrawler, she has a very high moral sense.
Confused
She landed in a reality different from her own. Of course, plenty of things leave her befuddled.
Motivation
Nocturne is driven by her joy for life, thrillseeking, and the morals she learnt from her father. Not necessarily in that order.
Goals
Nocturne is waiting for further orders from the Timebroker, so she can complete her current mission and, hopefully, go back to her native Earth-6506. In the meantime, get settled, be a good crimefighter, and have as much fun as possible.
Agility
Nocturne can perform feats of agility which would make Olympic champions jealous.
Wallcrawling
Nocturne can cling to any surface with her hands and feet, modified to have only three fingers.
Contortionism
She's capable of superhuman feats of contortionism. Her spine can take shapes that would make most people hurt just by looking at them. She can, for instance, literally twist it into a pretzel.
Bolts of Energy
Nocturne can shoot bolts of extradimensional energy (which she calls "hex-bolts"), originating the dimension which her father, Nightcrawler, uses for teleportning. They cause the same property damage that a tennis-ball sized bullet shot from a small cannon would have, except that they are non-lethal for people.
Low-level Telepathy
Nocturne has sub-threshold low-level telepathy. It doesn't manifest in most common circumstances, but can be accessed with appropriate telepathy-boosting devices.
Possession
Nocturne can enter the body of other people, gaining access to their memories and abilities, for up to 12 hours. When she leaves, the target of the power is left comatose for a period between 12 and 24 hours most of the time. She is just starting to learn how not to cause that effect, but she still needs much, much more training before it's surefire. Due to slight differences in Earth-616 with respect to her native Earth, the power occasionally doesn't work completely, and a few negative side effects, like, for instance, the other person gaining access to Nocturne's memories, may manifest. (OOC: consent is needed before using this on PCs. The 'not working completely' rule is there to allow for a sliding scale of OOC consent).
Lurk in the Shadows
Nocturne has night vision, and can hide extremely well in shadows or darkness.
X-Men contacts
At least one Nocturne already visited Earth-616. And has established friendships with a few members, notably Nightcrawler. This gave her a fast lane to re-forming those contacts again, and finding a place to stay. And three meals a day.
Mutliversal contacts
In her travels with the Exiles, she has met many alternate versions of many heroes. In particular, if her group of the Exiles, or an alternate version thereof, happen to pop into existence on Earth-616, they'll most likely count as 'contacts'.
iPod full of songs
She's got an original iPod (surprisingly similar to the one in our reality) full of songs nobody has ever heard of on Earth-616. In fact, none of those bands even exist. This might bring up some headachey copyright issues, but point is, she does have it.
Acrobatics
Besides being extremely agile, she is very, very skilled in acrobatics.
Unarmed combat
She has been trained in hand-to-hand combat as part of her X-Men training, and did quite some practice as part of her time with the Exiles.
Music
She was lead singer of Butt Monkeys. As a side skill, she's also not bad at playing guitar, drums, and the keyboard.
College Graduate
She has a degree. Which, alas, has no legal value in this reality, being from a university which doesn't even exist, signed by a person who was never born.
Stealth
She can sneak behind you on the creakiest wooden floor you can think of, and you wouldn't hear her come!
Everything's A Little Off
She comes from an alternate dimension whose history, while similar, diverges noticeably enough. For instance, you could keep playing the "Who's On First" routine on her for hours, since on Earth-6506 Abbott and Costello became folk singers instead of comedians. She's bound to be disoriented and confused often, either from discovering about famous people she's never heard of, or, vice versa, discovering that famous people she took for granted never existed in this reality. Also, pop culture references are likely to go very wrong either way.
404: Teej Not Found
A "Talia Josephine Wagner" was never born in this reality. This means that, as far as the law is concerned, she doesn't exist. She can't get a birth certificate, or driving license, or what have you. It hurts her strict morals a bit, but she has no choice but to do things without the reality-appropriate certification, or forging papers. Perhaps with the help of her X-Men connections.
Young and Inexperienced
While she had impressive training for her young age, 'young age' still applies. There's still much she has to learn of the world, and mistakes she can make.
Reckless
Her enthusiasm and thrillseeking occasionally push her a bit further than she should have.
Unexpected Enemies
There are countless alternate Nocturnes traveling through alternate realities. At least one version of Nocturne has already been here. This means that she may occasionally meet people that she's never seen before, but hold a grudge against her because of something one of her alternate versions has done to them.
Obvious Mutant
Blue skin. Yellow eyes. Pointy ears. Three fingers per hand. Prehensile tail. Ayup. There's no way this can go wrong with mutant-haters.
A long time ago, in a reality far away…
Talia Josephine Wagner, from Earth-6506, had a history similar of many of her alternate universe counterparts. Daughter of Nightcrawler and Scarlet Witch, she was raised and trained by her father to become one of the X-Men, which she did (under the codename of Nocturne) in record time, while her mother didn't stick around much (much to Talia's disappointment — she really loves her mother, but mom always put her superheroing before family). Eventually removed from her timeline by the Timebroker, along with a bunch of other heroes from different realities, she joined a dimension-hopping group known as the Exiles (one of their many instances. Like there are many alternate Earths, and many alternate Nocturnes, so there are many alternate groups named 'Exiles'). The Exiles have one thing in common: they are supposed to fix broken realities to prevent horrible fates from befalling them. In the case of this particular Talia, if she didn't help fix realities, she'd end blown up along with a good chunk of the solar system as a not better specified supervillain causes Sun-6506 to go Nova.
This is not the Talia you're looking for.
After many adventures and shenanigans through multiple alternate realities (vaguely similar, but not identical, to the one represented in comic canon), she eventually arrived on Earth-616 for the first time. The Timebroker told her that it was vital for her to stay in this reality while the Exiled moved on to a different one: Nocturne's 'mission', this time, would be to hold position on Earth-616 and wait for further instructions. Unbeknownst to her (at least at the beginning — she eventually learnt that), alternate Talias had already visited this reality. So she finds herself in a reality she's never been in, one in which she originally doesn't even exist, with people who recognise her but she doesn't know, and people she recognises but they don't recognise her, having to learn everything anew. It's okay, she can do it, it's not the first time she did this, after all. In fact, it might actually be fun…
