- Silver Sablinova, born in the Balkans Country of Symkaria to Ernst Sablinova and Anastasia Sablinova.
- Her father Ernst was the leader of the Wild Pack, a group of international bounty hunters and mercenaries. In his early life he hunted down Nazi war criminals, shifting focus to criminals of later conflicts as the Nazis still at large became few and far between.
- Silver's family home was attacked, in retaliation for her father's activities, her mother Anastasia was killed in this attack. Silver begged her father to train her so she could avenge her mother's murder. The trauma of losing her mother is what caused her hair to turn silver.
- Her training regimen was exceedingly demanding during her adolescence, and her father, absent most of her youth leading the Wild Pack abroad helped her develop into the calculating woman she would become in her later years.
- Raised primarily by her uncle Mortimer, and Madeline, one of the maids in the luxury manor that was her home.
- Changed her name to Silver Sable at age 16.
- Silver received the finest college education money could buy her, earning degrees in business and media, and extensive tutoring in foreign languages.
- Her combat training intensified, her resources allowed her access to the best trainers, Ninja's, Special Forces, swordsmen and top athletic trainers, to name just a few disciplines she has studied under, with daily full contact sparring sessions further enhancing her already strict training regimen.
- After her years of training, both collegiate, martial, and athletic, she finally began accompanying the Wild Pack on their global operations, already more than a match for most soldiers, and even surpassing most of the elite troops found in the national militaries.
- Silver was married, and then divorced to one of the world's best assassins, The Foreigner
- Silver Sable International, and the Wild Pack transitions from purely hunting war criminals to more general mercenary activities, becoming a premiere mercenary force capturing international criminals, pursuing interests of large international insurance companies, general bounty hunting, and serving as a highly specialized intelligence and special ops service for countries that aren't able to furnish standing forces of such high caliber on their own.
- SSI became very active across the world, with a local office established in the Symkarian embassy in Manhattan, and several operations bring her into contact with the local heroes of the city, those same heroes often interfering (In her opinion) with the well planned and oiled operations of the Wild Pack.
- Sable recruited a crack team to form the core of her Wild Pack, Chen, Sandman, Battlestar, Powell, Qunetino, and the Crippler all serving as her crew through a laundry list of jobs that took them across the globe, with frequent run in's with Spider-Man, Otto Octavius, and many more, with many more successes under their belt then failures.
- A string of high profile failures, apparent security leaks, and general lack of discipline led Sable to retire, and disband the Wild Pack, unfortunately her former Second in Command, Andreas Vadas took over the Wild Pack and turned it into an assassin for hire bureau, taking the name "Silver Wolf" For himself, and soon targeting Sable herself. With the help of Dominic Fortune, she took down Vadas, but found herself working solo, and in exile from both the Pack and Symkaria thanks to Vadas machinations.
- Now on her own, Sable began working as a thief-for-hire to fulfill her need for adventure and thrill, but eventually found herself caught up in a SHIELD Sting operation, and drafted into a squad directed at taking down Frank Castle. She remained with SHIELD until their dissolution.
- Following the dissolution of SHIELD, Sable would return to Symkaria, returning to her former life as a rich businesswoman, diplomat, and hero for hire, furthering her country's needs. This would bring her once more into contact with Spiderman, a world ending plot by Octavius, and, her sacrifice at the hands of Rhino, to allow Spiderman to complete his mission and thwart Octavius' plans.
- With the world remade, Sable has re-emerged once more on the world stage, looking to rebuild her Wild Pack, and continue to protect the security of her homeland Symkaria.
When it comes to business, and public perceptions, Silver is very cool, pushy, and always has an eye on the bottom line, without much empathy shown for others, even those close to her. It is exceedingly rare for her to do anything without proper compensation, with a few exceptions. She has softened a lot since retiring from the Wild Pack, this attitude remains, it is just smoother, more refined with age and experience.
One way to immediately get on Silver's bad side is to threaten her country. She can be extremely harsh with non-Symkarians, and will do just about anything to protect her homeland. One can expect no remorse when the interests of her homeland are at stake, and she will often pursue these agendas without need of compensation.
Silver has a well cultivated temper, one she has managed to keep in control, but when she is made angry she can get quite violent, and angry. Her two red buttons are: A child or mother at risk, and the safety of her country. Woe be the person who threatens either in her presence.
Silver is very demanding of herself, and her colleagues, with a very high bar for their performance, and quick to lay into them with a sharp tongue if they fail.
Patriotism is Silver's primary motivation, it drives everything she does, from running mercenary operations, the focus on finances, and even her more altruistic endeavors, her patriotism is often a core value. To this end, she will continue to make money, represent her country, and staunchly defend it, even to the point of sacrificing herself if it is absolutely necessary.
Silver has been gone for a while, she has to reconnect with old associates, allies and employees, find new employees, and begin rebuilding SSI and the Wild Pack incase another incident like the one that nearly took her life at Rhino's hands occurs.
Silver Sable is in possession of a will that is exceedingly rare amongst powered individuals, it takes a powerful mind to influence her, as she is able to fight telepathic control and influences with great ease, and was even able to resist the Goddess' attempt to crush out evil with the Cosmic Egg, maintaining her senses despite such a powerful influence.
Silver Sable has something of a sixth sense when it comes to danger, not through any supernatural abilities, but a lifetime of experience, training, a degree of paranoia coupled with a strong intuition. She has a keen sense of her surroundings, and is very good at identifying when a threat is coming.
Silver Sable is in possession of diplomatic credentials from the country of Symkaria. This gives her a number of benefits and privileges when traveling in foreign countries, this allows her access to diplomatic functions, security details, and protection from most civil and criminal laws of the host country.
The Sablinova family is an old, wealthy, aristocratic family from the eastern European nation of Symkaria, owning land, a castle, and strong business investments in the nation. The country is economically troubled, with Silver Sable Industries providing a large amount of income to the nation, as well as providing security and intelligence services. This, coupled with the Sablinova families support of the monarchy, and the people of the country as a whole gives them special status within the country, allowing them a safe haven, and access to a variety of resources both in Symkaria, and abroad.
SSI is Silver's multinational company, headquartered in the capital city of Symkaria. SSI is broken down into three distinct divisions. The administrative and technical wing maintains the traditional business role, but this also houses SSI's research division, developing new technology, often with a military or intelligence focus. The second division is SSI's intelligence and analysis department, this group is on par in ability and function to the finest intelligence services of the world, providing service for Silver, Symkaria, and her clients. The final division is SSI's most visible, the Wild Pack, SSI's tactical force, run directly by Silver Sable and providing military and security services world-wide. The Wild Pack has over the years served as home to a rogue's gallery of mercenaries, and super-powered individuals over the years.
Silver has access to a variety of high technology gadgets and devices thanks to the Symkarian scientists, and her SSI's research and development division. Notable technological advances that are available to her include stealth technology, that can be used in vehicles, clothing, and tarps/blankets that render the wearer invisible. Energy weapons of a variety of makes and models, including personal weapons, heavy weapons, and vehicle mounted versions. Advanced vehicles, high tech propulsion devices for Jets, sky cycles, and flying weapons platforms.
Between her personal wealth, and the assets of SSI and the Wolf Pack, Silver Sable has quite an array of transportation options. Her personal fleet of vehicles include a selection of super cars, including her Ferrari, luxury sedans, SUV's, she also has access to limousines, a helicopter, or a private jet. The selection of tactical vehicles available through SSI is quite staggering, she has her private stealth jet, the Swan and a jet pack. For urban operations she can get SWAT style Vans and SUV's, and heavier vehicles can be made available for more hostile areas. SSI also has a fleet of aircraft at its disposal, including high tech gliders, and stealth jets, as well as several small boats for maritime work.
Silver typically can be found with a pair of custom high powered semi-automatic pistols, a custom katana, and a derringer when the situation requires subtlety. She often is equipped with other small blades, both throwing and otherwise, and has access to a staggering array of military equipment from the SSI Armories. The weaponsmiths and scientists in her employ add an even more advanced arsenal at her disposal, blasters, energy weapons, high tech gadgets, and custom prototype weapons, giving her the ability to be properly equipped for a staggering amount of situations.
Silver's costume is a skinsuit made of bullet and fire resistant materials, offering her protection against small arms and blades, and fire resistant qualities similar to those a firefighter's uniform may provide, though at a fraction of the weight. Lately, she has incorporated the Symkarian stealth technology into her costume, allowing her to cloak herself, rendering her invisible when she is stationary, and only a bit of a blur when on the move.
One of Silver's trademark weapons are her Chais, custom throwing stars shaped like a half moon, with three trident like points. She carries many of these on her person, and though they can be quite deadly in her hands, they are still just throwing blades.
Silver Sable has a very long history with Spiderman, the two have been working together off and on for years, and Silver has many times tried to hire the Web Slinger into her organization. Their paths have crossed many times, and the two have formed a rather tight bond, and Spiderman is one of the masked heroes that Silver has come to depend on, and respect, even toning down her more lethal tendencies when working with him, out of that respect.
Silver has a complicated relationship with the Sovereign of Latveria, they have had many encounters both antagonistic, and friendly. While they are often at cross purposes of one another, their countries have quite a history supporting one another, and Silver's business-like demeanor has kept their hostile encounters from becoming personally, and in fact, she has annual dinners with the Doom, giving her access and insight into the man that many will never have.
Paladin has proved to be an extremely useful, resourceful, and loyal ally over the years, he has worked for her several times, joining the Wild Pack on temporary basis, and someone who she will often go to when she has more dangerous work, or things really get serious. He is of course a mercenary, something Silver respects, and she has no compunctions paying for his services, as he rarely disappoints.
Silver Sable is a prominent member of the Mercenary community, having ties both with governments, and private business, as well as other mercenary's and individuals across the globe who keep company in this circle. Her name and reputation go far within the community, and it is able to open doors, and garner favors, and there are no shortage of people looking to hire the Wild Pack, and they are rarely short on qualified recruits.
Foreigner is Silver's Ex-husband, one of the world's best assassins and spies. The two have a very unorthodox relationship, one that often results in sword play, assassination attempts, and similar attacks, though rarely with any intent to actually kill one another. Even with this relationship, Foreigner has proven to be a valuable ally, though often a costly one, he has provided valuable intel, removed enemies of hers, and even saved her from prison, and extortion by the CIA.
Silver is an extraordinary martial artist, versed in multiple disciplines, and having been instructed by the finest tutors she could find. Ninja masters, black ops commandos, and wizened monks have all given her instruction in their arts, and she is a master of forms, blending these techniques into a fast pasted, lethal style. She favors swift blows, and quick, acrobatic movements, she excels at fighting groups of inferior opponents, and calls the best fighters of the world her peer in the martial arts.
There isn't a firearm made that Silver can't shoot. She is an expert marksman, with level of training that would be on par with the world's top special forces team, and in many cases surpassing their ability. She is an expert sniper, excels with shotguns and rifles, but is a true artist with smaller weapons such as SMG's, and especially pistols, able to wield pistols akimbo, and accurately shoot the weapons while engaging in acrobatic maneuvers? dodges, flips, and rolls. Her expertise is not limited to traditional firearms, she also is trained in heavy weapons, as well as a variety of energy weapons and blasters.
Silver is quite good when it comes to melee weapons, her martial training has extended just as far into this realm as it has with her unarmed fighting. When using weapons associated with martial arts, Swords, Knives, fighting sticks, she is a fearsome foe, able to quickly dispatch large numbers of goons, and go toe to toe with other highly trained individuals, favoring the Katana over all of her weapons, and is an avid student of western fencing as well. She is even better, however, when armed with throwing weapons, especially her custom designed throwing stars, her 'Chai', able to throw the weapons at pinpoint accuracy in the most improbable of situations.
Silver is septilingual, a natural linguist who is fluent in 7 languages, speaking French, German, English, Italian, Japanese, Somali, and Symkarian. She is a passable speaker in many more, able to travel nearly everywhere in the world, with language being only a small barrier to her.
Silver has received an ivy league education in business management and finance, two things she has come to excel in in the practical world running her own multi-national business. Silver Sable industries has been quite successful under her management, she has demonstrated keen management sense, if not a bit hard nosed, and can navigate the world's economy, having performed mercenary contracts globally. She has a keen head for expenses, able to accurately judge costs on the fly, and provide accurate estimates to her would be clients.
Silver could be a master spy, or top commando, if she weren't in business for herself, her ability to conduct espionage and commando operations would rival the exploits of the fictional James Bond, able to infiltrate, surveil, and navigate the covert world with a natural. She can employ a variety of infiltration skills, from parachuting, to scuba diving, as well as employ advanced technology and methods. She is equally adept at managing espionage operations from afar as well, coordinating moles, developing informants, and analyzing data and taking and collating that information into practical target portfolios and dossiers.
A major part of Silver's business is the recovery of stolen property, and rescuing kidnap victims, and hunt down criminals who are very interested, and skilled, at remaining hidden. One of the main tools she employs is sound investigative techniques, coupled with a solid intuition. She has a keen eye for clues, and demonstrates a remarkable ability to piece together the puzzle of a crime scene. She understands forensic techniques, and is able to track down and locate whatever prey may come into her sights. It would take a true mastermind to evade her for long.
Being a Mercenary, Silver is very versed in the practices and policies of Military forces worldwide, from their rank and file troops, to their special forces units, even those assets most militaries would rather no one know of. She is always up to date on current, and potential hotspots of military trouble, and can identify the markings of troops, and the vehicles and equipment they use. Her knowledge of military tradition extends to historical units as well from the ancient Greeks, to the armies of WW2, and even to more modern conflicts of the cold war.
As a leader in military operations, it is unsurprising that Silver is a master tactician. Her ability to deploy the forces under her command, and adjust to the changing situations in the field of combat is unparalleled. She is very skilled at employing stealth techniques, and reacting to the actions of her enemies, often working several steps ahead of her foes.
Silver is able to operate a wide array of vehicles that she employs both tactically and in the civilian world. She can drive a car or truck better than most, with special training in tactical and defensive driving techniques, and is comfortable driving at high speeds. With jet aircraft, Silver would be welcome flying in any modern military in the world, and is familiar with more exotic jet aircraft technologies. She can fly helicopters, and operate boats and submersibles. She is even quite skilled at operating a personal jetpack.
A large part of Silver's job is protection, and she is exceptionally good at what she does. One of her main tasks is personal protection, providing security for a VIP in the form of bodyguards, parade routes, and homes, providing a level of service and professionalism on par with the secret service. Silver is an active participant in world politics, serving as a diplomat for Symkaria, as well as intervening in the affairs of nation-states with her mercenary business. She understands the current geo-political landscape, and is familiar with the various diplomats and envoys of many nations, capable of negotiating treaties and sitting in on global summits.
Incredible quickness, and agility make Silver a natural acrobat and gymnast, coupled with world class training, a masochistic training regimen, have made Silver a truly remarkable acrobat. She is able to flawlessly weave into her movements rolls, flips, and jumps, making these transitions seamless and graceful. She can traverse obstacles vertical and horizontal with ease, and speed.
Silver is uses a variety of cutting edge gadgets in the course of her career, constantly upgrading, trying new tools, and applying those gadgets in innovative ways. She is a quick study at deducing the purpose of new gadgets, and how to use them. She however, is not a gadget maker herself, relying on others to produce the tools she uses.
Silver was raised a privileged upbringing, and dance was a large part of her upbringing. She is well schooled in the more sophisticated forms of dance, ballet and ballroom dance in particular. Her training was rather formal, though not as extensive as professional dancers, none the less her natural grace and agility make her the envy of the dancefloor when she takes to it.
Charm is not Silver's usual means of getting her way, though one would be sorely mistaken to assume she is not capable of being persuasive. When not in a business setting, or interacting with subordinates, especially in formal, or diplomatic situations with those she considers her peers, or those situations where a more direct approach won't get her what she wants.
Seduction is a tool, and being the practical femme fatale that Silver is, it is one she employs when the situation calls for it. Her ravishing good looks, and feminine wiles are an extremely potent combination when employed to tempt or persuade someone.
Silver is well versed in interrogation techniques, employing psychological and conversational techniques, but also quick to utilize less morally sound methods, physical discomfort, violence, even potentially lethal methods to coerce information out of a stubborn person, the methods proportional to the stakes.
Silver is a trained demolitions expert, familiar with handling and use of modern explosives, as well as methods of creating improvised explosive devices, as well as how to place devices for optimal, or minimal destruction. She is extremely competent when it comes to disarming such devices as well.
When it comes to operating computers, Silver is a journeyman at best. She is comfortable using computers, and is rarely confused with more in depth applications of these devices. She is not a hacker, however she can use tools and shortcuts created by more talented computer experts to gain access to secured devices.
Public speaking is not a task foreign to Silver, it is something she has learned and cultivated over the years, through classes in college, and practical experience in the real world addressing board rooms, or diplomatic gatherings. She can deliver well-crafted speeches with poise and dignity.
Public scrutiny is something that is always following Silver Sable, her actions in the Mercenary world, and her public identity certainly means any actions she takes will actually reflect on her, rather than her heroic persona. The CIA, and SHIELD have both leveraged her actions against her, to coerce her into working for them in the past, and the Media has its eye on her as well, given her place in high society life.
Silver Sable, or Silver Sablinova, lives in the public spotlight, both as a wealthy socialite and diplomatic figure, as well as her roles as CEO of SSI, and the leader of the Mercenary group the Wild Pack. There is little hiding from her actions, she wears no mask to hide herself.
Silver has made many, many, many enemies over the years of running the Wild Pack, having hunted down powerful criminals, and she has teamed up with heroes to take down ruthless super villains. She has been particularly aggressive against Hydra, and various former Nazis and neo-nazi affiliated individuals. Her aggressive tactics, and lack of empathy have made enemies from many of these groups and individuals she has fought.
With as many enemies as Silver has made in her career, there are many amongst them that are actively hunting for her, some of them powerful, most not much of a threat to her, but a driven man is always a danger, and she always has to be on the lookout.
Silver has a soft spot for children in danger, and can be moved to anger rather quickly when this ploy is used. When she witnesses a mother killed in front of their children, this can trigger traumatic flashbacks to her own youth, when she lost her own mother.
Silver Sable is the leader of an international Mercenary organization known as the Wild Pack, and CEO of Silver Sable International. Her operations are often run with the sanction and support of local law enforcement, and her outfit is amongst the best private military forces money can buy.
